TripAdvisor Review:
OK, so my wife and I are the ultimate Foodies. We certainly enjoy and expect the very best when expected to pay over $25/entree. That being said, we decided to splurge on a Monday night after being away from Pawleys for almost a week. In our quest to rank all the local restaurants, we have been treating ourselves to different ones every week or so. We entered Bistro 217 without a reservations and non was needed on a Monday evening. We were seated immediately in their covered outside seating. Our waiter was Sean, a very personable and very well trained waiter. He presented in an enticing and complete manner the specials of the day all from memory. Off to a good start I thought. We ordered the Spinach salad with goat cheese (the largest dollop of goat cheese we have ever seen on a salad) and I had the very yummy Crab Bisque with Cherry.
Our entree was the special a Trigger Fish dish encrusted in Pine Nuts and served over a shrimp and sausage risotto. Absolutely Fantastic. Even the bread basket was imaginative and worth seconds.
Portions are plentiful and worthy of a take home clamshell and you certainly get your moneys worth. Certainly one of PI's BEST gustatory establishments.
